Nipper - Neat Internet Protocol Packet EditoR
Nipper - Neat Internet Protocol Packet EditoR - is a graphical packet generation tool. With Nipper the user can easily build different kinds of packets and send them to network.
Supported Protocols:
- IPv4, including IPv4 options
- IPv6, including a subset of option headers (MIPv6 draft15 + others)
- TCP
- UDP
- ICMPv4, partial implementation
- MIPv4, partial implementation
- Raw payload
Requirements, Installation and Usage
Nipper is written in Java (version 1.4.0 is required). Currently the sending of packets to network is only supported in Linux (and maybe on other unixes also), because Nipper uses RAW-sockets.
See the file INSTALLATION (in the distribution) for more details.
Licensing
Nipper is distributed AS-IS under the VTT Public License.
